I’m A. K. I’ve chosen to use this name publicly because I value my privacy and prefer to keep my full personal identity separate from my work here.

I work in the IT field and have experience working around civil engineering, particularly road construction. My work sits at the intersection of technology and the practical requirements of the civil and infrastructure sector, which has given me an interest in finding better ways to use technology, information and research in real-world work.

Outside of work, I spend a lot of time researching things on the internet and learning something new whenever I get the opportunity. My interests include IT, finance, civil work, home and road construction, and management. I enjoy understanding how things work, comparing different options, and learning from both successful and unsuccessful experiences.

Why I Started This Blog

Over time, I have learned that having access to information is not always enough. What often matters more is having the right direction and clarity to decide what to do next.

I started this blog to share things I have learned through my own work, experience and research, particularly with students and people who are trying to make better decisions about their careers and future.

My aim is not to present myself as someone who has all the answers. Instead, I want to share practical information, personal observations, research and lessons that may help someone choose a better path, avoid unnecessary mistakes, or simply look at a situation from a different perspective.

What You’ll Find Here

The blog covers a few areas that genuinely interest me.

Career Guidance — practical thoughts and guidance for students and professionals trying to understand their options, choose a direction, or make better career decisions.

Job Guidance — information and practical perspectives related to finding work, improving professional skills, navigating career decisions and understanding the realities of working life.

Course Reviews & Recommendations — honest reviews and recommendations based on factors such as who a course is suitable for, the learner’s interests, financial considerations and whether the course actually makes sense for a particular goal.

Journal — personal observations, experiences, lessons and things I learn while working, researching and exploring different subjects.

My Approach

When I write about careers, jobs or courses, I try to keep two things at the centre: real-life experience and research.

There is rarely one correct career path or one course that is right for everyone. A decision that works well for one person may be completely wrong for another because of differences in interests, financial situation, skills, goals and circumstances.

That is why I prefer to look at the practical side of a decision rather than simply recommending what is currently popular.

A Note About Privacy

This is a personal publication, but I have deliberately chosen to keep certain parts of my personal life private.

I use A. K. as my public identity. I do not publicly share my full name, exact job location, employer details or detailed family and personal information.

I believe it is possible to share useful experiences and lessons without making every part of a person’s private life public.

What I Hope You Take Away

If you are a student, I hope this site gives you better clarity about careers, courses and the different paths available to you.

If you are already working, I hope you find useful perspectives on career development, jobs and professional life.

And if you simply enjoy reading, I hope the Journal gives you useful ideas, practical lessons and perspectives that you can apply to your own life.

Ultimately, the purpose of this blog is simple: to share what I learn and experience in the hope that it helps someone else make a better decision.
